Pioneer Day Parade Entry

There is no fee to participate in the Pioneer Day parade. Submit one application for each parade entry, float, vehicle group, walking group, or organization.

The 2026 Pioneer Day parade is scheduled for Saturday, September 12 at 4:00 PM. Lineup begins at 1:00 PM at the Old School Community Center. Entries must arrive no later than 2:00 PM and must be fully in line and ready by 3:00 PM.

Arrival and lineup

Enter the lineup area by the football stadium and travel south on North Phillips toward the Old School Community Center. Do not enter directly at the community center because space is limited and entries may not be able to turn around or move into position.

Floats, vehicles, trailers, and other large entry components must arrive early enough to be placed in line. Individual walkers or riders may join their assigned entry after the float or vehicle has been positioned.

Parade rules

  • No candy or other items may be thrown from floats or moving vehicles.
  • Candy or approved giveaway items may only be handed directly to spectators by walkers traveling alongside the entry, if event staff permits it.
  • No real weapons or firearms are allowed, except for law enforcement.
  • A responsible adult must supervise any children walking or riding in the parade.
  • Entries must continue east on Osage Street to Hanson Park before stopping so the parade can continue moving safely.
  • Participants are responsible for operating vehicles, floats, trailers, animals, and equipment safely throughout lineup and the parade route.
